Murrow instituted and insisted upon it. The ethical rationale incorporates this logic: A journalistÂ’s subjective opinions do not necessarily reflect an issueÂ’s objective facts. Rather, a professional opinion endorsing a conclusion of what news and facts may mean. Ergo, a dividing line is essential, so the viewer/listener may construct their own position regarding the opinion.

. Of all people, he has condemned JANET RENO as "corrupt." Almost everyone is Florida and national politics who has observed her personal and official behavior would adamantly disagree. If anything, the opposite is true. When she was appointed Clinton's Attorney General, my friends and I laughed, saying, "This guy (Clinton) is in real trouble, he does not realize he has a tiger by the tail. He better not break even the expectoration law. She will have him in the slammer before he wipes his face. It has always been THE RULE OF LAW first and everything else second for RENO; especially politics." My Apology to O'reilly
I had previously berated O’reilly for shamelessly huckstering his Factor No-spin products on his program. Assuming he was doing it for profit - self-interest. Afterwards, to discover he is donating all the proceeds to charity. “Never jump to conclusions, never assume until you know the facts.” Lessons from my Latin professor, who passed away this week. A holy man and priest who kept his vows who I shall deeply miss. Therefore, I hope O’Reilly will accept my apology for jumping to the wrong conclusion regarding his motivation. However, this does not diminish my oppositional stands on other positions he has wrongly adopted.
My harsh criticism of the "O Man" regarding his expressions of being or having "the Truth" may have been premature and not totally accurate. Since then, he presently refers to "THE NO SPIN TRUTH." It is rational, ethical and totally justifiable to claim one is speaking the Truth from their perspective. We all do that. If I misunderstood what the "O MAN" said, I hereby correct my prior statements, and admonish myself for assuming I knew the whole Truth. You see, the Truth is, I am not certain, but I think I may have been wrong. As a result, I am morally obliged to correct myself. If not I can never again lay claim to be a seeker of wisdom and truth. The TRUTH question looms in importance in these perilous times: Because EXTREMIST RIGHT-WING CHRISTIAN, JEWISH AND ESPECIALLY ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS are convinced they have the ONLY ONE ABSOLUTE TRUTH. Incredibly, they are actually willing, even proud, to murder others who represent another view, or disagree with them. Why? Because "The Other's" TRUTH IS FALSE. Their inner thinking follows this pattern: "I possess the Only Truth, and my God (and religion) is the only true one. Ergo, any one who believes another Truth ---is False, and therefore, an opponent of Truth and, of course, God---Who is on my side. They are evildoers who must be the evil one's followers. They are a danger to mankind, civilization and God. Consequentially, they must be destroyed by any means necessary. Therein, resides the causation of the 911 WTC evil ---"done in the Name of God." Nevertheless, I still have questions about his journalistic conduct. Who is this guy? Who shamelessly hucksters (self-promotes) his show's product. The spin doesn't stop "here." My head is spinning. One minute he's a boor, the next a courageous man of character. In any event, I must be fair. The guy sometimes does attempt to root out the truth without regard as to the negative consequences. That must be admired. I hate to say it, but he deserves praise for exposing of the Red Cross and other WTC "Charity" scandals. This shows character. Which is the lawyers compliment meaning this man has such a complete grasp of the law that when asked a question he immediately states the proper answer in a concise manner. He has our respect. IN MEMORY OF DAVID BLOOM - NBC JOURNALIST!
This is grim to compose. Nevertheless, I am "inexplicably spiritually obligated" to convey my condolences to his family and friends. I comprehend not why. I was not acquainted with David Bloom - the youthful courageous CBS journalist who perished in the Iraqi War. I am no foreigner to Death, my constant companion during my 30 year travels around this Planet; and, within my group of family, friends and relatives. I have grown desensitized to Death. If someone, no matter how loved and cherished, dies, I automatically trance into reverie. Usually, chosen to formulate the arrangements. I inquired of my closest friend why I experienced no alarm and fear after the 911 evil. It deeply distressed me. In the 60s, I worked as an entertainer from The Village to Battery Park. My friend replied by listing the seven times I had narrowly escaped Death's grasp. After 30 years of travel- all alone - leaving home at 13 for prep school, I instantly discovered this Planet's cruel, brutal, inhumane, dangerous and evil side. Nevertheless, when David Bloom was killed; surprisingly, I wept uncontrollably, experiencing deep loss and grief. I wondered why? I reflected. Every time David covered a news story, I said to myself, "Now there's a good Boy. Raised by a good family. Someone all can be proud of as Americans. If I ever had a Son, I would want him to be just like David Bloom." David was one of those personalities I identify as "A Light." Everywhere they travel their inner heart projects an unspoken infectious happiness. It is more than charisma. Their existence proclaims, "Hey, there is hope for Humanity. Look at me. I am a nice person; and, so can you, if you work on it." I understood, I was devastated because his Light represented hope - absurdly snuffed out by unnecessary war. I know with absolute certitude, his family will never overcome their grief at his loss. However, "I pray to You, Father, Grant them the ability to cope as best they can. Comfort them, in their suffering moments of deepest grief. Always be with them." David's death was not in vain. When the chicken-hawks embark on propagandizing another war, people of goodwill will remember h David Bloom sacrifice. DEMANDING PEACE, they will fight against war; saying, "Hey you educated Idiot, do you want to kil another David Bloom!!!" NO MORE WAR!!! Moreover, someday in the after-life we will visualize David Bloom's Light - the young man I would have been proud to call Son.
