You know an honorable conservative when either of two things happen:
1. When there is a constitutional violation they stand up and advocate against the abridgment of rights.
2. When they rethink a past position and change their stance based upon moral and ethical grounds.. Honorable Liberals and conservatives believe this: That we may be political enemies; but we will always remain personal friends. This is essential to maintain reasoned democratic debate and compromise. Creating the public debate.
For instance, when I hear Bob Novak, George Will or William Safire (The light in the Burning Bush) (And especially Russian Limbaugh-just tweaking your nose Rush) make their conservative case; it usually infuriates me with vocal disagreement. Nonetheless, I personally admire and respect them for starting the public debate. Who is the ultimate arbiter of which side is correct: The people of the USA. As for Bill Buckley, I have studied the guy since Prep School in CONN; and after two degrees and a copy of the Oxford Dictionary, I canÂ’t figure out what the manÂ’s trying to say-if anything.

On the LOU DOBBS PROGRAM, republican consultant ED ROLLINS stated important wisdom, insight and truth regarding the sorry state of USA politics. In effect, Rollins strongly asserted Congress and Senators are "2006 election proof," due to abuse of redistricting of seats. That politicians have refused to be courageous and brave for the good of the Nation. Instead choosing re-election over public service. Rollins in absolutely correct. We support his insight.
